        I got the chance to co-own Ellie by sheer luck. I was in Shreveport, Louisiana, with Shaine and Skipper for an agility trial when I met Darlene Musick of Musical Shelties. Darlene had barely finished mentioning that she might sell Ellie to an approved show and performance home when I jumped at the chance to welcome Ellie into my home. Just one month later, Ellie came to join our gang. Darlene and I will co-own her until Ellie completes her AKC championship.
        Ellie's father, Nicholas, is a VCX, so Darlene and I have high hopes for Ellie. We believe that Ellie has more herding instinct, and with her attitude (which is just like her father's, if not more outgoing), I feel that it is entirely possible for Ellie to surpass Nicholas's achievements. By the way, Ellie's breeder is Sandy Sheppard, but I would like to thank both Sandy and Darlene for this wonderful opportunity to work with Ellie.
        Ellie is my first Blue Merle Sheltie, and one of my first experiences with an AOAC (Any Other Allowed Color) Sheltie. Our Conformation debut was in Camden, Arkansas, during the weekend of February 14-15, 2009. Unfortunately, I could not find my camera, so I missed the opportunity to take pictures. We have decided to take a break from conformation to focus on agility training.
